We do offer classes to NON-Pitbull type dogs if space is available. 

If you own a breed of dog that is commonly thought of as a "vicious" or

 "dangerous" breed please contact us, we would love to have you and your

 dog as a member of our group.

        R.I.P.P. Pit Bulls is a program that focuses on helping pitbulls and their owners learn how to rebuild the perception of this very misunderstood breed by education, socialization and by training. Pitbulls often recieve a very negative image throughout the public because of the irresponsible owners in this world. As a responsible owner for your pitbull, it is your responsibility to help restore this breeds' image as a whole by educating people on the breed itself, and ensuring that your dog is well behaved, social and trustworthy around all people and in different environments.

Our program was designed to help you and your dog work better as a Team. We don't care if your dog is a total and complete "SpaaZ" or becomes leash-reactive in the beginning ~ This is typically normal behavior for an untrained dog and this is why we are here to help. Our group classes are greats ways to help "Desensitize" your dog to other on-leash dogs as well as helping teach your dog to "Focus" on you despite what is going on around them.  

Here at R.I.P.P. Pitbulls we believe that every dog deserves to be treated equally

 and to not be discriminated against or stereotyped solely based upon breed alone. Pitbulls have

 earned a very special place in all of our hearts and we strive to help make a

 difference in the lives of many owners and their dogs by providing low

 cost training and behavioral classes to the public in order to help promote

 responsible ownership to all. We currently serve the Central Ohio area.

Classes are currently being held at Sharon Woods Metro Park in the

 "Apple Ridge" area. (map of park can be found in the above Tabs) 

All group classes are held consecutively for 6 weeks.

Group Classes will focus on basic obedience commands such as :

 Heel, Sit, Down, Place command, Loose Leash Walking, Leash Pulling and

 Stay.

Also basic Behavioral Problems such as : Jumping, Excessive Barking, socialization, leash reactiveness, supervised seperations and Distractions are also covered.

We provide a number of educational topics as well which will be discussed during class.

We offer the option for all members to take the CGC test at the end of

 each 6 week program. Any Pittie that has passed their CGC (Canine Good

 Citizen ) will be considered for our Breed Ambassador program.

Any behavioral questions that you may have can be emailed to us directly as we offer individual consultations as well for you and your dog in the comfort of your own home or at a nearby dog friendly park.

RIPP Pitbulls gladly will accept any donations of much needed items in order for us to help the dogs in our communities. Please visit our Food Bank and Assistance page for a list of items that are always needed. Dog food is the #1 item always in demand.

R.I.P.P. PITBULLS Is a place for you and your dog to learn more about how to become Breed Ambassadors in your community. R.I.P.P. offers Group Training/ Behavioral classes to the public as well as Private Individual consultations for you and your dog.

R.I.P.P. will host and attend many Charitable Events and Fundraisers sponsoring shelters and other rescues groups, Graduates of R.I.P.P. who have passed their CGC testing will be invited back to join us for all of these Fun and Exciting events sponsoring Pitbulls and Pitbull Rescues.

R.I.P.P. gives you the opportunity to learn as much as possible about your dog in our 6 week program on topics such as:

Responsible Ownership, Basic Obedience Commands , Basic Behavioral Issues, Breed history, Certifying your dog as a Canine Good Citizen, Ohio laws pertaining to our Pitbulls and Pitbull mixes, and much more !
